There is a big (1inch) uncoated border that cannot be used. It does not cut easily compared to my former one. It gets very heavy when wet (from acrylic paint), seems a bit sensitive to humidity.

The canvas was strong enough to stretch, black gesso. I would say after priming it with two additional layers it is ready to go now. I would buy again. Just expect to do more prep work before painting.

I purchased this item & had it shipped all the way to the Caribbean. It came very fast & was wrapped in tarp to avoid any damage during the journey. It's heavy, so you feel like you're getting your money's worth. I would definitely buy again

Stretched well, made a 3’x5’ canvas for my girlfriend. She has been oil painting for years and loves this material! Much better than store bought canvas. Consistent weave, thick and holds up to staples under tension. Some people complain about the unprimed boarder or how it will still require more priming before use. I consider those people the garden variety art supply store “artists” you know, the paint and sip crowd. This is a raw building material like a 2x4 or a sheet of plywood. You will need to build a frame, stretch the canvas with a good amount of tension, staple the crap out of it all around and soak it with gesso to stabilize it after construction. That is how it’s been done for a very very long time. If you can’t do it then go buy one premade or ask your dad for help.
