It's extremely warm and soft! It has a little bit of weight to it but it only adds to the comfort, it doesn't take away. We've had it for about a year or two now and it's holding up great! Still works fine!

I tried this sitting out on my neighbors balcony one night and decided I needed one for myself. I made the mistake of buying some unnamed brand instead of Sunbeam and it was missing the super soft feel that seems unique to this brand of blanket. It's great for the added warmth, particularly if you wish to sit outside on a chilly night.

Oh wow. I didn't know what I was missing. Everyone in our house prefers it "cold" -- even in the winter. I can (and have) turned up the thermostat, but that makes everyone else miserable. I bought this -- and wow! I sleep like a baby with this thing. Worth every penny. In fact, I might buy a larger one.

I loved this blanket at first. I used it every night for one week. I would turn it on to warm up my bed and after only 20 minutes turn it off, remove it from my bed and feel toasty warm. After a week it stopped warming up so well and began shocking me. The blanket does not even have to be plugged in let alone on for it to shock me. I'm not talking about a little static electricity; I am talking whoppers that hurt! Multiple whoppers moving the blanket, touching it etc. I wish I could return it after having it for a few weeks and not having the original packing.

This blanket was for my elderly mom and she loves it, It is very plush and so soft the cord with the control is a bit short but otherwise very nice throw.

The cord is very short so you are limited in the distance you can sit from a plug. It is soft and works well however. I do love that it shuts itself off.

My goodness, it's like an enormous heating pad! Exceeded my expectations for warmth, comfort and luxuriousness. By far, my favorite Christmas gift this year! Only design flaw are how the electric port and cords are placed on the blanket if you want the blanket to be draped the long way down your body (head to toe). It's not a deal breaker, but Sunbeam, are you listening? I'm not the only one who has reported this issue.
