The magnetic strength is weak, I am a daily HVAC technician and thought i can rely on these jumper wires, but no I ended up stripping pieces of wires to jump boards.

Product does work however the magnets aren't overly strong and the wires are very thin. I expected 20AWG wires but thicker insulation so they would be more durable. They are very thin and appear that they would not last long. For occasional use I'm sure they are fine but for everyday use such as a hvac technician would us (like me) these will wear out quickly. If the product was cheaper that would be acceptable but at $17 dollars they should be made a little better.

I use these for reconditioning individual cells in my lithium battery packs. Makes it easy to connect my Opus smart charger to a single pair at a time to repair a lithium pack without having to mess with alligator clips. The idea of getting 5A through these 20ga wires is wildly optimistic, but they're still pretty good. With heavier wires, they would be great.

The magnetic jumper leads have low resistance 0.1 - 0.2Ω which means the solder connection to the ends are quality.What I don't like are weak magnets they used! These definitely aren't neodymium magnets which allows the magnets to not stay in place on the screw heads all that well in the vertical position.I tried them out on a faulty wall thermostat and while it did complete the connection and allowed the 750mV gas valve to open, the magnets wants to fall down onto the lower part of the screw head due to the weight of the wire.The wire length is quite long so it definitely effects how the magnetic ends stick to screw heads since they are weak compared to a neodymium magnet.Would I recommend these magnetic jump leads? Sure, they work but just not as well as I would like.
