Okay, so this is my second one of this brand. I have a longarm quilting service and use this for when I intake quilts. I makes my like so much easier. The first one I used for a while and noticed that the brass end was starting to come off, so I decided to fix it. I pulled out a length of tape and took that brass piece off, then as I was getting ready to re-pinch that end back on I dropped the tape. Well wouldn't you know I dropped it on the retract button. My reflexes are not as fast as the spring that resides inside the case, and I was so mad. I tried to get it apart, and couldn't. It is built well in that regard, and has also survived many drops and bangs against things. I decided in the long run that I liked this one well enough that I would just re-buy the same one. Now I just don't retract the tape all the way in, I always leave it one click out. I think being retracted in all the way is was what started all this mess.

I am very glad this measuring tape is the regular width just like the yellow ones you can get at the local fabric shop. and the retractable part works great, also I appreciate you can wear it around your neck so you won;t need to be looking for them all day long. The only thing I am not crazy about is the purple color + green color, combination is odd. await you to make cheerful ones like pink blue or black and white.

This is the measuring tape I have needed for a long time. I love it! It's plenty long, light weight, and it has a lanyard! Highly recommend it if you're a tailor or into garment sewing because you can measure length as well as width without question (size inclusive). And it's fiberglass so it's not going to get stretched out like cheap ones, accuracy is important.

My trusty old 120" tape measure broke and I was so bummed. Couldn't find a replacement locally but found this one online. It's great and the added benefit if the cord is great when I have to keep getting up to measure for next border. And I love purple!

Bad quality, tape stretches and does not retract properly. Outer shell is alright though. I would not buy this again.
