I bought this to replace the broken throttle cable near the grip on my 1975 DT400. The lower section of the cable that goes towards the gear box was too short by a good amount. I ended up using the upper half of the new cable and both original lower cables from the bike. I had to take the junction block apart where the two cables go to one to put the new upper cable in. The upper cable is also longer than needed. However, after a bunch of time messing with it, the throttle now works on the bike again
