Beautiful, but too clever! Seriously difficult to install - so far haven't found any professional cabinetry or woodworking place willing to try. There is zero margin for error and the idea that you can glue these to a piece of wood is crazy.

Just installed the Sugatsune DSI-3250-35 on a beautiful pocket door for our kitchen panty... this model # is a perfect fit for a 1 3/8" thick door. The quality of this door pull is excellent and gives such a designer look compared to any typical pocket door pull. My husband did practice making the cutout on another piece of wood of the same thickness first before attempting to do it on the door. The fit was perfect and we attached it with a 2-part epoxy. It's a little pricey, but well worth it for a unique, high quality, and easy to use door pull.

The best pocket door pull I have found. It looks good/modern and functions very well without any extraneous and obnoxious levers as found on others. It is relatively easy to install with a sabre saw but careful not to over cut. Use a wood rasp to fine fit. It does not lock but for us unnecessary. Amazon sells a Schlage 42B26 pocket sliding door bolt that is a simple lever stop that installs on the inside of the door if privacy is important.

I would have preferred the bronze piece but I wasn;t going to pay the price. Like the other reviews said. a 3 5/8" hole saw it the ticket. I butted up a 2x4 along the edge of the door and centered the bit on the crack between the door and the 2x4. I tiny bit of filing with a round rasp and it fits perfect. It took longer to buy the bit and set up the 2x4 than it did to fine tune the fit. Slather some epoxy on the door and handle and you're good to go. I also cleaned the handle really well to make sure there wasn't any milling oil on it. It didn't feel like there was but I wan't to make sure the epoxy stuck well. This is a solid piece of stainless steel. Its 100% well made.

Wasnt sure if this would be a knock off, but it was the real deal and looks great. Arrived quickly and efficiently and i cant wait for my new door to be finished.

This pocket door pull is very sleek. I installed it in less than 10 minutes by measuring and placing the pull where I wanted it against the door. I traced the outline and then measured in about 2-3 millimeters and made another line inside my traced line. I used a jigsaw to cut the inner line and made sure I didn't go outside the traced markings. Tested the fit and then mixed a 2 part epoxy, that sets in 90 seconds. Working fast, I applied a thin layer to the metal pull and stuck it in the cutout. After 90 seconds it seemed pretty secure but I also put some painters tape over it to be sure it wouldn't budge.

Looked high and low for a pull for our new mudroom pocket door - and this is perfect!! I've had other pocket doors - and most of the pulls for them are nearly impossible to use due to the shallow nature of the pull. This pull is not only attractive, but it's functional! It's a very high quality piece of hardware that will not disappoint. A little tricky to install - but well worth the effort.

Since this thing comes with no instructions I thought I'd help. The door should not be hung to install this. Better it should be down and on flat or edge for installation. You will need a 3 3/4 hole saw for easiest installation. I created a template by drilling a 3/3/4 hole in a scrap piece of wood. I drew on the door the outline of this door pull where I wanted it and then clamped the template 1/8" inside that line allowing for the lip of the pull. I drilled using the template, starting slow, speeding up in the middle, then extremely slow to breakthrough the other side. Made sure to keep the hole saw straight. That whole process took ten minutes. Far less time than installing a traditional pull set. My problems started when I tried to glue using the poly glue they recommend. Since my door was hung, the pull would not stay put since the glue allowed lubrication rather than securing. It also foams way too much for an after finished installation. It does not clean up with soap and water. I ended up pulling the pull, wiping everything off with acetone and reinstalling with silicone. I had to screw a brace in place to hold it while it dried thereby having two more holes to finish and touch up. I have 5 pocket doors that need pulls in my home. This one was installed in a single door on the pantry, which I rarely close. I say this because although silicone may not hold in all applications it probably will in mine. This it a pretty and dual function unit. It would be better with a couple of screw projections out the back and flush fitting covers so it could be drilled and screwed in 15 minutes allowing for justification of cost vs. labor compared to other systems.

These are beautiful. Installed on double pocket doors, so that when they are closed it forms a circle. They get 4 stars because they have a very small rollover lip, making it such that your cut out has very little room for margin. BE CAREFUL! Cut less first!
