I needed extra tiles for hard puzzles! These are perfect! The tiles I received where the same quality as the set that came with the original board and I can fit 4 in my square! Maybe other customers purchased a different board? Very happy with them!

These tiles are not small enough to fit four to the square on the wooden sudoku board that I purchased. I don't know if they'll fit on other boards. I still think I'll use them, though. They just won't fit four in the square.

I love working sudoku but on the very difficult ones I get tired of erasing. This lets you have thinking nrs that are easy to move around. The board is very sturdy and there are lots of extra numbers.

I was hoping these were the same size as the thinking times that came with my wooden Sudoku board. However, they are much larger and will not be able to fit 4 per grid as the others fit. I am going to keep them however, as they are better than running out of thinking tiles.

The extra pieces I received were all the same size as the ones that came with the original box set. Don't know why on earth they aren't included with that because you can't play it until you have these extra pieces. Would highly recommend ordering these at the time you order the original box set.12/21/16 Update. After starting a new game with the extra thinking pieces, I found I was still short several pieces on two numbers. I cut out little pieces of paper and wrote the numbers on them but that didn't work well at all. Finally gave up and placed a SECOND order of thinking pieces. That turned this $30 board game into a $50 board game.

Well, I've had a very extensive experience with different Wooden Sudoku sets, because this is the one thing (besides pool) that keeps father enjoying life despite of advanced age.In 2010 I've made a big mistake by purchasing four sets of these mini ("thinking") tiles here.Now, 5 years later, father doesn't have any of those because of an extremely poor quality.Father really struggled with them until we finally decided to throw them away altogether.These tiles definitely seem like have been cut and numbered manually by pyrography (woodburning) .Impossible to believe that these are "manufactured" by Wood Expressions.Besides the obvious difficulties to read the numbers, which get erased over time, the tiles are often uneven and disproportional.Unfortunately quality mini tiles are virtually impossible to buy separately, even on eBay.The solution I found is to buy this board: which comes with mini tiles.Fortunately these are sold used under Collectible for about $9.99 with a free shipping, which is comparable to the sole price of the mini tiles sold here.Good luck everyone! After reading many other reviews on several Sudoku boards, I gathered that it would be a good idea to purchase the set of additional mini tiles. Other people say that the boards do not come with enough "thinking tiles". Personally, I do not play Sudoku, so I wouldn't know if it is enough or not, but I figured I can't go wrong with such a low price on the additional "thinking tiles". I purchased the board and additional tiles as a gift for my mom, and I know she will love this as she is an avid Sudoku player. I noticed other reviews of the thinking tiles complained they were not of the greatest quality, but I don't see a problem. Numbers seem dark and stand out well (not faded, or barely stamped). I don't see where there's any roughness on the wood. Overall, I'm glad I bought them, and my mom can decide if she needs to use them when she plays.

As others have mentioned, these are not the prettiest pieces to go with the full board game. Because of review I read, I delayed buying these for about 3 months. I spent several hours on the internet and could not find anything premade or custom that was at a reasonable price. Reasonable not being $.25 to $1.00. I even researched buying wood stock, cutting it to size and printing up my own decals. The easiest was just to buy these pieces. Without them, the game is basically unplayable with the one set of thinking pieces that come in the original set. The numbers are larger than the original set and appear to be burned in with some woodworking tool. They rate a three because they are helpfull if not pretty.
