I am new to Sudoku & was getting tired of erasing holes in the newspaper for the harder puzzles. Converting the puzzle onto the board really helps & is easier on my eyes & building my new skills. I have drawn in the numbers in the tray holder to make it easier to return tiles to their trays. Be forewarned: the first puzzle in the game booklet is incorrect with multiple sixes that should not be there. I am double checking before I start a puzzle to not be frustrated. Overall, I am glad I bought this wooden Sudoku board.

Would like to see an instruction for how to use the +, -, = and other math signs. Is there a game book for using these? Otherwise was a big hit.

At this price point, I had relatively low expectations for this Sudoku board. It works very well for what it is - a 9 x 9 board with the requisite number of tiles, a drawer to keep the tiles and even a provided book of Sudoku puzzles with the corresponding answer key. After a month, the writing on the tiles is starting to wear off but that's easy to fix with a sharpie. My biggest complaint (other than the uncomfortable shade of yellow for the board - what **is** that color?) is that so many of the provided puzzles are just wrong. My first exposure was with a setup that had two of the same number in the same 3x3 square. I've had that happen several times. However, the most insidious is when the setup looks correct - no doubles in a 3x3 box, row or column - but it is not possible to solve. Checking the answer key shows discrepancies with the setup and the answer. Frustrating - yes, but, at this price point... it's alright. We have a separate book of Sudoku puzzles so I just use that along with the board and I'm happier. Enjoy!

I put puzzles on here from sudoku books. Pieces don’t always fit but it’s workable.

Great price for this set. Nicely made. Only 2 small complaints..... the drawer can easily fall open if you aren't careful how you pick it up. I keep a large rubber band around it so that this doesn't happen. And the puzzle booklet has a lot of misprints. I've learned to compare the answer key with the "red set tiles" before I begin a puzzle. Sometimes those set tiles are incorrect. But these are minor inconveniences for a beautiful wooden set. It would be easy to look up puzzles online, too.
