The scooter worked well for 9-10 months. Then wouldn’t charge. I was still within the warranty window and reached to Amazon and Company (China). They refused to honor the warranty. Instead they tried to get me to purchase another one for slight discount.Very disappointed with how this was handled. Will no longer be doing business this tbis company.

From the island of Guam. Love this compact jet. I installed it on my 10 foot paddle board. I enjoy the speed and made my journey so much easier. Planning on purchasing another unit to enjoy more time on it.

I've only used it for a day, but so far so good. I attached it to the bottom of my kayak and tried out the 3 speeds and it moved nicely. In the low speed mode it seemed like it kept reducing power a bit. I thought perhaps the battery was weak, but now think maybe there's more power at the start to get you moving and then it tapers down to extend battery life. It didn't do it in the 2nd and 3rd speeds. First use was to paddle out to a friend who had the keys to the truck where lunch was stored. He held on to the side of my boat and I used 2nd speed to get back in. It was a little slow - we were side-by-side so kept trying to go right, and I used my paddle as a rudder to keep us straight, which put a lot of extra drag on the motor. Still made it in quick enough, and it was a chance to test the charging speed. 45 minutes on a 100 amp charger had it almost back to full power.I'll need to come up with a better way of applying power. Holding the power switch and paddling at the same time didn't work well for me. The wire felt like it was in the way, and it's hard to hold a paddle and apply the switch at the same time. Perhaps a toe switch to leave hands free. After trying it out on the kayak, my 15 y.o. wanted to try the arm mount and spent about an hour in the water being aquaman and having a great time. He especially enjoyed positioning the Subnado so that it made a fountain into his friends boats.I'm looking forward to going back to the reservoir this weekend or next. It's about a 1.5 mile paddle to the river where the salmon are spawning at this time of year. There's almost always a tailwind on the way there. My better half will take the boat with this attached for the way back. We'll see how it does towing a boat behind instead of along side.Round 2 - we paddled out to the river and watched the salmon swimming up, then attached the Subnado for the return trip - with the Subnado on the front kayak and a bungee to the rear. Speed 1 is about the same as my regular paddling speed. Speed 2 is a bit quicker. Towing in speed 2 moves along quite nicely, and we had 50% battery remaining. I'm a big fan of this little device!

I returned 2 subnados which didn't fit my needs (refund was unusually problematic but now resolved, just a one off perhaps, so thank you) - SUP version had an issue with the cable connection not closing properly after using once. I found the hand held version too cumbersome to use comfortably for zipping along surface water (they ARE for under water use though) . I since bought 2 more for SUP use which we really enjoy! The cables connect great on one, okay on the 2nd (keeping eye on it, using grease as directed etc). My friend can't paddle much anymore with joint issues so it was great she could SUP with us using subnado. I find it really helpful when wind kicks up on lake or traveling farther using SUP subnado... Its a blast actually! Updated to 4/5 stars.

I was looking for some type of electric paddling aid for my paddle board and after look at propeller fins, trolling motors, Ect - I went with a Subnado. Long story short it works GREAT. I started with one and liked it so much I bought a second, you don't really need two if you're just mounting it to the board, but I got two so I could zip through the water like Aquaman (not superman, so many reviews online say superman... idiots). The paddle board package comes with an easy install mount (just get it right the first time cause it's ON there) and an arm mount so its a better value than a lot of the other ones out there. I was surprised at how quickly the board moved at max speed and even at low speed it noticeably helped you paddle against the wind - with two on at max speed I don't think I'll be able to ride it standing up (which is awesome). It's fun when swimming, but slower due to more surface drag area (thus the second). Battery life seems to last a good while, but you pretty much have to be back home to charge it since while charging you don't want water getting in it and there's no removable battery. I was able to get two for $339 each and picked up the dual controller add-on for $68 (that was a bit overpriced I feel). In conclusion, if you want something multipurpose (paddle board, snorkeling, diving, ECT), with a great form factor and portability I'd highly recommend.
