Did this as a gift for my dad. He loves lions and it was super fun to sit down and make him one. Took about 1hr-1.5hr start to finish, was a little messy but nothing crazy. Came out super cool. I am definitely going to be getting more

I got four of the soapstone animals for our two grandchildren. They had a fun and safe time ācarvingā a lion, elephant, wolf, and kitten. The soapstone arrives as a pre-carved chunk so young kids can sand till smooth and add details. A terrific way to introduce basic carving techniques to little kids. A great little sculpture to show off when complete. I suggest ages 6 and up with parental supervision.

The provided instructions are pretty thin, and my girlfriend struggled through her bear. I got through the Lion alright, but I had to make a lot of assumptions to get it right, since the provided details were so few and far between.

Soft and easy to carve comes with sand paper a file and wax. Iām a beginner and I did this in 30 minutes. It was fun would order another kit to make different animals.
