Just recieved it today and assembled it. The desk went together without too much trouble though the hinge on the desk top was a bit awkward to tighten. The instructions said to put the pencil tray on first but it really should go on last. Other than that the only real complaint is that its tricky to raise and lower the height of the legs. You really need someone else to help lift the other side. But overall I'm pleased with it. The base and legs are sturdy and the desktop angle is easy to adjust and lower. It also has a nice finish to it. Glad I shopped around too as I originally found the same model on wayfair but they were charging an extra $100.00 for it.

My wife bought me this as a Christmas gift for my office. I am not a bot or a shill for the company, so I'll give you my honest opinion. Though I would class myself mostly as a cartoonist, I also draft and occasionally sculpt and paint. The box arrived with a small gash, and I was worried that the drawing surface might have been marred-- more on that later. The assembly was straight forward, but unless you are a Sasquatch you'll probably need two people to carry the package. Once it was assembled, it looked great, was sturdy, and had adjustable feet to level it. It is rock solid and well made. I am VERY SATISFIED. A great table for the price. One small issue. The box had been punctured in transit, and once assembled I noticed a slight blemish, right in the middle of the drawing surface. It turned out not to be a ding (concave) but some sort of adhesion (convex) a couple millimeters square. Using fine sandpaper it took me 30 seconds to get rid of it, and though I had expected to have to repaint the surface, the removal left no trace. Not a big deal. Overall, I am still very happy, and rate this as a RECOMMENDED BUY.

Overall impressions: Great purchase at this price point. Desk arrived with no damage. Was easy to assemble. Sturdier than expected with a lot of easy adjustments to make it work in many situations.Assembly: Package was undamaged. I laid it out on the floor and spread all the parts out except the top which stayed on the cardboard. Everything was labeled very well and, quite frankly, there were not a lot of pieces. It took me under an hour with only the tools they provided and a screwdriver. I noticed that the edges of the melamine table top were protected by plastics corner pieces from the factory. I think this was a key move. Nothing had to be forced together.Fit and finish: The desk assembled and came out super sturdy. It seems bigger than I was expecting. The whole time you assembled you really felt that someone had thought this out and when it was together it looked and felt that way. It is not the most beautiful thing in the world but it works and does not feel cheap or like it is going to break.Features: The tilt function has about 9 stops on it and supports both ends of the table. Pencil tray is deep. Having the fixed portion is convenient for many reasons the main being that things that are prone to slide (lights, laptop, phone) can sit there undisturbed. It also helps define working space. There are no casters on this desk but the foot pads are large, they adjust and they pivot. Way better than cheap plastic casters that make things unstable.Adjustability: This desk can easily be adjusted to 4 heights with some very nice bolts with a hand adjustment head on them. The range of settings allow you to go from a standard office chair up to a stool- with increments in between.

Fairly easy to assemble. I did it myself in about 30 min. Tip: Do not assemble in the order it says because it makes it very difficult to put in the screws under the table. it is nearly impossible to get in there to screw in the screws. I took it apart and switched the order of assemble. look at the instructions closely and you will see what I mean. Reverse the steps for adding the table top and the brackets to adjust the angle of the table. My other gripe is that it is not easy to lower the angle of the desk when you are using it. I have to use both hands to lift the rack that supports the desk and use my head or forearms to slowly lower it. that is so strange to me that they do not have an easier way to lower the desk angle. luckily, I don't change the angle too often, so for the most part it just stays up. I like that there is a flat part of the desk too, so you can place items there while working. It has a tray in front to hold pens, pencils etc. can be raised or lowered in height depending on your needs. but again, that is not easy since you have to flip the table upside down to unscrew the screws to slide the legs to be longer or shorter. You definitely need two people to flip the table back upright afterward. However, for the price, I am very happy with the table. It is sturdy and works very well for me.

I have recently been very dissapointed with a couple purchases from Amazon, so when I ordered this desk i was skeptical. I am recently returning to my love of art and drawing. I am tired of just about everything on TV and video games but drawing i can get lost in for hours and never tire of.The selling points of this desk for me was the size and it looked pretty sturdy. i received the desk, opened the box and put it together. The directions were easy to follow pictograms and all the parts were numbered on baggies and present. It came with a small allen wrench and stamped metal end wrench, so if you don't have any "real" tools these will do in a pinch. After assembly i noted that the desk is rock solid steady and borders on being over-built. The desk top ratcheting mechanism is made of steel and easy to use. When you adjust the top you are reassured of the sound of steel ratcheting and not some hokey plastic mechanism. The level shelf area to the right is good for a pencilcarousel, sharpener, manikin or small laptop or tablet etc. I went to target and bought a Sterilite 3 drawer organizer to go under the right side of the desk and a small waste basket under the left side back of the desk. On Amazon I bought a sStudio Design swing arm lamp to go with the desk. If you buy that lamp i highly recommend buying the metal lamp clampFrom HHP for about 15 bucks. The clamp that comes with the lamp will not allow you to position it to the left or right swing at an angle when the desk top is inclined. If you are looking for a good solid drawing desk at a great price and appreciate sturdy furniture, look no further!

I'm not normally one to write reviews, but I had to because this product is outstanding. The directions are made up of pictures, with minimal wording, and are so easy to follow. All of the screws, bolts, washers, etc are individually bagged and labeled with a number that corresponds to the numbers in the directions. All of the pieces are solid and well made. Each item went together smoothly. No issues at all. I was even impressed that they included a comment card on a full sheet over very thick, high end, glossy paper. As for the desk itself, it looks very nice. The table top is easily lifted and laid back down. Adjusting the height after put together is also easy to do, but isn't something you would want to do often. There is a tray for pencils at the front which is extremely sturdy and a nice addition. The best part, though, in my opinion is how large the work space is and that there is a solid surface on the right that remains flat when you raise the drafting portion.

I love it. Moves up and down easily. Especially love the flat section and the unobstructed opening under the table for lots of leg room, and the adjustable height is perfect. Easy to assemble.
