I'm sure this works for some people. It's definitely more mellow and softer than the mouthpiece that came with my cornet. But I feel like my mouth is falling off the thing. It's definitely a smaller outside diameter than normal. I'll probably be returning it.

Great cornet mouthpiece. No joke. Pro here, and I'm impressed.

This is high value for the money. It seems to be a really nice copy of the Wick. I'm not a professional but this is going into a student cornet, so it's a perfect match. If a professional played this in blind comparison, he or she might be able to discern the difference, but I can't feel or hear one that matters to me.

Has a great tone and is well made. Compared to other mouthpieces that are so ridiculously priced this is a really good buy.

My son's Yamaha cornet came with a tight-ish mouthpiece. Not bad, but definitely trumpet like in tone. While it posed no issue for me (I play Trumpet), he was getting pitchy on the low end which I know should be easier on cornet. This seemed like a good option and so glad I tried it. I haven't played on the genuine DW to compare, but the cup is more conical, overall length is shorter, and the flow is much freer than the Yamaha MP. But the real hook is the tone. So rich, and voluminous started off testing on a scale and couldn't help but change over to a jazz riff (just sounded so right). I am considering picking up another cornet for myself to pair with one of these MP.
