I used this for mounting solar panels to my RV and this type of strut channel nut was much better than another type of nut with plastic spacers that made it hard to twist under the solar panel. I really think this is the best type of strut channel nut as it stays in place and slides easily into place.

These strut channel nuts work well and are a decent value for 50 pieces. Like most things, the price per piece goes down for larger quantities. So, if you need a lot of these you might pay less per piece for a package of 100.These work as they should. The nuts pop into the channel and the spring pressure holds them in place. 3/8 bolts go into the threaded holes smoothly without any binding or excessive looseness. The quality is good and the price is reasonable.

So, I got these to use with 1-5/8 Uni Strut. They are perfect size for that and work well. However, I saw very quickly that I did not need the spring. If you are using these with Unistrut with holes then the spring actually make the application much more frustrating....the spring goes through the holes.....its just aggravating. I ordered again, without the spring and saved myself the aggravation. If no holes in the Unistrut then the springs would be advantageous. All in all, these came as advertised and are great quality.

These were the least expensive nuts per piece and they proved it by having 15% of the nuts fail. All of the failures were not threaded all the way through so it was impossible to tighten. It was too frustrating to purchase again.
