These are indeed thicker than the standard strut nut - they should hold up to probably more than a standard strut channel could withstand. The lack of a spring makes them tough to use, even on relatively flat surfaces - I couldn't imagine struggling to use these on a horizontal or sloped surface. They are good quality, but for the price - I'd rather get a pack of nuts with springs or plastic retainers on them.

These GZBEVITAR 1/4"-20 Strut Channel Nuts have no spring (springs are for amateurs anyway)my co-woker cuts them off, I pull them out. I tell him the cut end of the useless spring is a bleeding hazard, but he's set in his ways ....Anywho - the spring back types are only good in certain situations where either the nut position is blind to the fastener, or when you know you will be reinstalling the fixture more than a couple times.Well crafted, functions well.

This is a multi-pack of nuts that go inside a strut channel so you can attach other objects to the strut, tightening the nut against the inside of the channel and locking it in place when you do so. They're a convenient way to quickly construct secure support structures and to fabricate braces. This product gives you a lot of nuts for a reasonable price. They're less than a dollar each, and each one is a substantial hunk of metal. The threaded 1/4"-20 hole is a common fastener to standardize around and is easy to keep on hand (although I wish some had been provided along with the nuts to form a kit).If you're looking for a convenient construction system that connects together quickly, these are a really useful tool to have in your repertoire.

I recently decided to build my own panel saw using unistrut from a design I found online, and these nuts were perfect for attaching all of the parts I needed to attach for the panels and the saw slide, etc. Very strong and heavy-duty, and they hold even the heaviest parts without any issues or coming loose from the vibration. Nice nuts for a good price.

I picked these up from Amazon as locally they're a lot more expensive and these honestly are better quality. Lots of thread engagement and they installed easily with no problems. I'm using mine for some woodworking panel clamps made from Unistrut and some thumb screws, which had no issues threading in.5 stars.

These are pretty heavy, which screams quality to me, but they were too large for my application. I didn't realize they would be nearly 3/8" thick, 1-3/8" long and 3/4" wide. Since they didn't work for me, I was unable to test fully use and test them, but I can attest to their weight (and appearance of quality).Hope this was helpful...
