This is the best door stop. Use it for work. It holds the heavy doors that just automatically shut on you. I am so glad I have this.

Bought these to use with the door that goes out to my garage and since it’s a fire door, it slams shut. Also, because the bottom of the door is uncharacteristically high off the ground, a standard doorstop did not work. So this flexible doorstop works like a charm to fit the unstandard gap between the floor and the door. If you have a gap that is strangely large between the floor and the door this is a great solution when a standard doorstop won’t work. The only minor irritation is it does stick to the floor a little bit so sometimes I have to bend down and use my hands to latch the door from the stop, versus using my feet or my shoe too unhook. But the benefit of filling a larger gap at ways that minor inconvenience.

We built a new industrial facility and the devil is in the details. We have some rooms with double doors - metal industrial doors with self-closing mechanisms at the tops of the doors. The closers do not hold the door open to allow palletized material to pass thru without it being a 2-person job; nudging the doors open and marring them with the pallet jack was not an option. Standard door wedges would slide on the polished cement floor. To install the correct hold-open closers, or to retrofit the hold-open arm, was going to be expensive ($100+/door). We evaluated various bolt-on doorstops but each had complexity for how to mount to the metal hollow-core door in a robust manner.Although we don't need to open both doors very often, it needs to be convenient. I eventually discovered these spring-loaded door wedges and bought 1 to try. It works fabulously, and bending down to place/remove is quick/easy. So I bought 2 stops for each doorset and a magnet-mount spice rack to hold them on the inside of the door. Everyone in the dept likes them.
