I needed to tack two pieces of 1/4 in stock, one horizontal and one vertical with a 1/8" gap for a clamping strap. My vertical piece was just under three pounds. I set everything up, activated the magnet, and tried to remove my plastic spacer.The magnet could not hold the vertical piece in position and I noticed that the magnet could easily be slid across the horizontal plate. Terrific idea, lousy result.
