It's fine, not great quality, but worth the money.

I have always been a fan of transforming my outdoor space into a cozy haven, and nothing does that quite like string lights. Recently, I decided to take my lighting game up a notch with the Toyeah String Light Hanging Kit, which comes complete with a 300-foot vinyl-coated stainless steel wire rope. The very idea of this sturdy, flexible cable thrilled me, and I couldn't wait to see how it would hold up against the elements. What first drew me to this product was the sheer versatility it promised. Living in Southern California, I’m no stranger to the challenges posed by weather—especially those relentless Santa Ana winds. My goal was to create an inviting outdoor setting for gatherings, and I needed a system that could handle the whims of nature while also being easy to install. Upon unboxing the kit, I was immediately struck by the quality of the materials. The cable is robust yet lightweight, a combination that seemed perfect for my needs.Installation was the next step, and the process turned out to be a delightful mix of straightforward and satisfying. The kit comes with an array of hardware that allows for customization based on your setup. While I opted to use my cordless drill and driver for the installation, I appreciated having the included socket wrench, screwdriver, anchors, and nylon zip ties at my disposal. These thoughtful additions made it clear that the designers had considered various user scenarios. The actual hanging of the lights was where the fun really began. I strung the cable between my posts, adjusting it until it was taut and perfectly positioned to create a gentle arc that would showcase my string lights beautifully. As I attached the multiple light sets, I couldn’t help but marvel at how easy it was to manipulate the cable. It held firm as I worked, giving me confidence that it would easily support the weight of the lights.Once I had everything set up, I took a moment to step back and admire the transformation of my outdoor space. The bistro lights cast a warm glow, creating a cozy atmosphere that was just perfect for evening gatherings. But as much as I loved the aesthetic, I knew the true test was yet to come: how would the setup perform under adverse conditions? That test arrived in the form of a particularly blustery night. The winds picked up, and I watched from my window as the trees swayed and branches danced. Would my new lighting setup withstand this onslaught? As the wind howled outside, I felt a mixture of anxiety and excitement. I had high hopes, but there’s always that lingering doubt when you’ve invested time and effort into a project. To my relief—and delight—the Toyeah hanging kit performed flawlessly. Despite the strong winds and the occasional brush with tree limbs, the cable held steady, and my lights remained intact. I was genuinely thrilled to see that the sturdy wire rope not only survived the storm but did so without any signs of wear or strain. It became abundantly clear that this product is designed with durability in mind, perfectly suited for those of us who want to enjoy our outdoor spaces regardless of what nature throws our way. Now, while I adore the function and resilience of the Toyeah String Light Hanging Kit, there are a couple of considerations worth mentioning. One point that may be significant for some users is the initial installation. While I found it to be manageable, individuals who are less handy may find it slightly challenging to set up. However, the comprehensive hardware provided should ease that concern somewhat.Another aspect to consider is that while the kit is incredibly robust, it does require some forethought regarding placement. If you’re setting it up in an area prone to falling branches or other potential hazards, you’ll want to ensure the lights are adequately protected. But this is a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things, particularly given the overall quality and performance. The Toyeah String Light Hanging Kit has become an invaluable addition to my outdoor decor. It not only elevates the visual appeal of my space but also provides peace of mind, knowing that it can withstand the elements. The 300-foot cable allows for a plethora of design possibilities, and the included hardware makes it adaptable for various setups. If you’re looking to create a charming outdoor atmosphere while ensuring your lights stay in place, I wholeheartedly recommend this product. It’s a testament to how something as simple as a hanging kit can transform your outdoor experience, allowing you to enjoy those serene evenings under the stars without a worry.

You basically WILL need a drill to use this set. Works very well though, and keeps my lights up even in windy or stormy conditions.

As we weathered hurricanes Milton and Helene here in northern Florida, meaning that the wires that we had that were holding our string lights had broken in the backyard, and we started the project to start replacing the wires that snapped as we really enjoyed having our backyard well lit.Things that I liked:1. Thickness Of The Cable – when replacing the wire we noticed that's the thickness of the wire was double that that we were using previously, and it made sense why this wire would have snapped and the winds with the weight that we had in supporting.2. The Vinyl Coating - as I mentioned above this is replacing a wire that already existed and supported a 268 foot light set that have been in place for the past four years. The coating on the wire is bound specifically to the threads of the wire as opposed to just a coating, and as much thicker even then the original item that we purchased, and didn't fray when we were able to cut it.3. The Cutting Tool - one of the things that we did to improve the way that we harm the light at this time was to cut segments of wire and place them onto the hooks that we had installed originally. In doing this we had approximately 35 different segments that needed to be cut, and the toll that was provided didn't amazing job and allowing us to make clean cuts without having to spend too much effort on hand strain.Things that I didn't like: absolutely nothing, this fire was everything that i expected it to be and it's a little hard to find fault with something that exceeds your expectations. There are definitely cheaper wires out there, but I'm going to stick with the adage that you get what you pay for. We've learned this lesson the hard way, and are now replacing not only the wire to guide it but also part of the light sets that we purchased.

I have several projects in my back yard that required wire for hanging and this kit came with everything I'd need and more. I like that it offers several different methods for using the wires and attaching them to different attachment points. Some are more permanent solutions while others allow you to clip and unclip things when needed which is super helpful here in Florida where we often get hurricanes and other strong storms.

Kit had everything we needed to hang outside lights for a welcome dinner. The cable provided the extra strength needed to support the lights for 50’ spans. Easiest to attach the lights with the zip ties provided rather than twisting around the cables.

This is a great kit to properly install your string lights. Yes, you don't necessarily need it for short runs but you really don't want to put all that weight and stress on the electrical wires when you do long runs. Plus the lights electrical wire will sag a lot as you can't put tension on it. With this kit, that is not a problem as you can put a considerable amount of tension on the steel wire.

I received this string light hanging kit well packaged in excellent condition. Out of the box excellent quality construction cable and hardware. I got this kit to make my own cables routed under my soffits and out to poles. I installed my own eye bolt screws to my soffits and made the cables with this kit using a clamp on each end to secure the eyelet and installed a carabiner on one end with a turnbuckle at the other end and tightened the turnbuckle until the cable is straight as an arrow. I have string lights, large banners, and sunshades mounted on these cables and these cables hold everything secured even with high winds. Excellent kit with a strong cable.
