Vellum has a slight "tooth" and is designed for a broad range of drawing and painting including crayon, pencil, charcoal and watercolor or gouache. Very sturdy. Smooth surface and nice shade of white for drawing or sketching. I had not used this paper before and love the smoothness and feel of it. Great value with the two pack!
