The arm is made with very small links, that require and allen key and some effort to lock. The base is heavy enough to support and balance larger objects. I had to animate two crocheted dolls for an ad and ultimately I switched from stop motion to digital animation using Adobe Character Animator.

This stop motion armature assembles quickly from the box and is easy to lock its pieces into place so nothing moves. I am a budding hobbyist but I have been able to make some pretty cool stop-motion animations with my open box NECA figures with this armature. The Stand itself is almost entirely metal except for the rubber base at the bottom to keep it stuck in place on the table so it isn't going to break unless you're trying to break it.They include 5 different pieces (ways) to attach your models to the rig, and the best one i found for my situation was the double sided tape flat piece one. Its too bad they didn't include a C-Clamp type of connector, like something to go around a models waist. I think both professionals and budding hobbyist like myself can get a ton of use out of an animation tool like this, and would make as an excellent gift for anyone interested in the skill.

The creative uses are MANY for a device like this, and in my particular case, I'm using it for some rainbow-themed led projects I've always wanted to try. Precise placements and a way to backtrack my work requires a device that can handle precise placement and documentation. That's where this comes in. This is my first rig like this and I'm pretty impressed by the intricate components and options it provides for doing various creative craft. The components are pretty well thought out, but they should be at the premium they're charging. It is par for the course for this particular niche of products, so I won't balk at it too much. As mentioned, the kit is pretty thorough and easy to assemble (see note below). I can recommend this product thoroughly. Very useful.Note: The instructions are not in english but will be by the time the product hits the market, hopefully. If you're an english speaker, you can use one of the many translation apps and the camera option to translate it in real-time.

While the product seems pretty solid and well made, there are no instructions on how to use the arm. Putting it together was also challenging as the instructions were not in English. The video did help but inky shows one attachment not all the attachments. I think someone seasoned would easily know how to do this, but it’s not user friendly for a newbie.

If you are into frame by frame animation, this is a necessity and a must have tool. The rig comes with a wide variety of adapters. Assembly is light and easy if you follow the directions. With this rig you will be able to put your character to work and bring your stop motion films to life on a professional level.Price is reasonable. The rig is of professional quality. Stupendous buy! This is a very cool Stop Motion Armature Kit for beginners. It was easy to assemble and has good Value for money, I recommend it for anyone looking to create stop motion videos.
