Awesome horse hair braid. I got mine in slightly white. Color is accurate and the amount you get is a good value.

As I understand it, many years ago dress makers would use real horse hair to support the hems of large wide skirts. This made them stick out. Horses must be pleased that the invention of polyester means they can now keep their tails. "Horse hair" nowadays means a ribbon of stiff polyester which fulfils the same function.Being a ribbon, modern horse hair can be used in a variety of other projects. I am going to use it as an embellishment when wrapping my Christmas presents. Its distinctive mesh and stiffness makes it ideal. At 36 pence per yard it is also an economical solution. I have chosen blue, but there are thirty six colour to choose from.

Lovely colour. Size as described. Perfect if you are using a similar coloured fabric as it blends right in. Perfect for adding subtle waves. Adds support. Easy to attach with a simple cross stitch.
