Replaced all in a older Tecumseh 5hp engine. Had to go back in and use a little sand paper on the points and reset them and that did the trick. Good spark now and running.

had to reverse wires to get this to work. matched length of wires to original coil on first try. did not work. worked when i switched them.

Don't remove metal laminated plates that the coil fits over; it changes the timing and adds work (ask me how I know) There is a small retaining clip that you can move off to the side then work old coil off of plates without unbolting plates. This procedure maintains engine timing. Replacing points no problem, using feeler gauges (.020") to set gap. Watch YouTube for correct location of lobe position for setting points. Nothing special to replace condenser. Bare conductor in spark plug wire, fold back along insulation and crimp spark plug end onto wire. All parts fit my 6 hp Tecumseh engine mounted on Troy built rototiller.
