I got these to use as geocaches, so my main points of interest were a sturdy, resealable cap; a resilient, thick walled, waterproof barrel; and no sharp edges to cut kids fingers. Well, these were rather disappointing on the first and the third requirement. The good is that the actual tube is very strong; I was able to stand on it at 325lbs on one foot and it didn't break. The bad is that the caps on this group of 15 were a flimsy feeling, thin plastic that I have poor confidence will hold up to repeated unscrewing and tightening. That's just an impression though. What's not an impression is that 6 of the 15 tubes I received were broken, with pieces of the rim wholly broken off and pointed bits of plastic exposed. None that I thought would easily pierce the skin, but broken nonetheless. I'm not giving this a lower score only because for my purposes, they are still usable, but if you wanted to use them as test tubes where the rim would be required to hold the tube up, some would invariable be worthless.TLDR: Some broken, caps thin, tubes strong. 3.5/5 stars

I've purchased these for geocaching containers before from another supplier. I was pleased that these were just as good as the last. Sturdy and the caps keep wet weather out. I've painted the caps with a spray paint, and they keep the paint well. Great for my purpose. I will buy them again.
