This was the easiest setup I’ve ever had! The documentation is all there and the parts and wires are high quality. I had no issues with this motor and driver combo. Very silent operation as well which is really nice

The stepper encoder connection was not wired correctly on 4 of these steppers I purchased. I did a continuity test on each wire and it confirmed the manufacturer soldered the DB15 plug upside down.I don't know if its just the wire to the first DB15, or the wiring inside the encoder itself. But this purchase was a waste of $$.

These are very smooth and run nearly twice as fast as regular steppers also quieter. far more stall resistant also

I would like to see that these hybrid drivers and stepper are great product however I can’t say that, but I will say that they are a good product. I’ve purchased these type of hybrids previously and the driver on one of them went to junk sooner than expected, which is why I purchased this one I hope That this hybrid stepper driver combo last longer than six months because they’re overpriced as is.

After hooking it up like they say, the driver would just freak out, make some noise and shut off, finally got the thing to work in open loop mode.Started the return process, and while waiting, found online several issues with the encoder cable being wired wrong, indicated by the driver showing 7 red blinks when in closed loop mode. The solution is to rewire the encoder, or reverse the motor. See picture- wire it this way if yours doesn't work, not the way the manual sais.

Easy to install. Have yet to test exactly how much value to the encoder combo (need to overload system to see how it handles discrepancies)

I'm using two of these on a CNC converted G0704 mill. They work great. I set them up to 800 steps per revolution and they seem incredibly smooth and precise. The hall sensor works great and the stepper motor smoothly catches up after binding. I found out the hard way that you need true HD15 connectors that have straight through wiring. While VGA cables share the same connector, you cannot use a VGA extension cable because of the cable wiring and connections do not match.Looking to build a 4th axis and plasma cutter. I'll definitely use this motor and controller again.
