I recently moved to a more rural area and wanted to get a mailbox that would be big enough to fit most of my amazon packages in, and this FITS THE BILL!! It's huge! I put my head in it and had plenty of room and then some! It's made out of plastic so it won't rust and was easy to install. Received the package fairly quickly and would recommend and buy again if I ever need a new one.

This thing is huge. It’s nice to have an oversized mailbox since I ordered so many things online and it saves the mailman a trip up to the house. (See photo compared to a dishwasher)The mounting system is not the greatest. I ended up buying the separate mounting kit since it would work with my existing post. Since it requires putting screws in inside the mailbox into the kit, it must be done by hand with a screwdriver, which is a major hassle. I suppose if you had a small 90° screwdriver, you could pull it off easierThe box itself seems stout, and the signal flag is well attached.

Purchased to replace the old mailbox from a previous homeowner. The "door" faces west and therefore faces the prevailing winds and all it brings. After roughly three years of use I have yet to have wet mail. The mailbox itself is sturdy, and definitely large enough for the average packages that come in the mail. While a little on the expensive side, I feel it was worth it.

This is a very large mailbox indeed. Because it is solid plastic, and so large, it had to be made in a double wall construction for rigidity. If this were made of steel, it would not need double wall construction, and would have smaller outside dimensions. Whether plastic or steel, the "inside" dimensions would be about the same for this XL size. It is solid, and the magnetic latch works well. It has a nice large area on either side for the address numbers. Be sure to get good quality decals, because cheap decals have a problem adhering to this plastic. As far as a mailbox is concerned, whether it is plastic or steel really makes little difference. Either one will be destroyed if smashed by vehicular traffic or vandals in a rural setting. I really like this mailbox size, it commands respect, and my mailman loves it.

The extra size allows many of the smaller packages to be left in the mailbox so the mailman doesn’t have to come all the way up to the house to drop off those small packages. It also looks great and unlike the metal won’t dent or fade over time, and I love the magnetic door latch. I don’t think there’s a better mailbox out there right now for the money you can’t go wrong here.

I give it 4 stars because the mailbox itself is a great size. However, they screwed the underneath side screws almost completely through the side walls of the outside of the box, so there are a couple of sharp points poking through the plastic. Also, I now have to find the appropriate hardware as it is not included. I will need to measure and cut a wood base for it because it will not just screw into the post I currently have. I may have to hire a handy man as I may not have all of the tools required. I have not installed it yet so I can not say how durable it is. It seems pretty standard as far as durability. I am waiting for the next hurricane to pass through before starting the installation.
