This sandbox is the perfect size, it is big enough for my 1 year old to be inside and play but it is not too big that it occupies too much space in my small backyard. We filled it up with 4 bags instead of 5 and it seems to be enough. The lid is great because it keeps unwanted animals (snakes, spiders, etc) from getting in and also keeps the sand dry. My kiddo loves playing there and it wears him out!

Perfect size sandbox for any age. I like it better flat on the ground so I bought wheels from Harbor freight and screwed them on the bottom so I can roll it around easier my grandson spend many hours playing in this sandbox. It stores easily under the patio bench.

Nice size. Nice appearance/good quality. Looks durable. Lid fits well. Easy to assemble. The accompanying sand toys are nice quality and size.

Love the size of the sandbox. Almost canceled the order due to reviews on the difficult assembly, got lucky the request to cancel didn’t go through and product shipped! So happy we did not cancel! Assembly took my son 15 min and without a single problem. We delayed opening it up cause we thought it would take time but boy were we wrong! So happy with the sandbox couldn’t get my grandson to come inside. Hopefully the neighborhood cats don’t figure out how to open the lid but we’ll see. Wind is pretty strong today and the lid hasn’t moved. My son said who told you this was going to be hard to assemble lol if you have little ones that love to play in sand this is the sandbox to get!!!

I like the cover, though I’ll always put a rock or something on it as I didn’t feel it was secure. The size is good for my 3 year old. We only just started using this so I don’t know if it gets water or bugs in it a lot.I didn’t like putting it together. There are no predrilled holes so I had to guess at the angles to drill the screws in and messed up a few times. The amount of screwing needed begs for a drill, not a manual screwdriver, but the angles required make using a drill difficult. If you have a nice long drill bit, use it to make life easier. I do like this affordable plastic sandbox, but I just don’t know if I love it so that’s why I only gave it 4 stars. It’s certainly more attractive than the green turtle (at least to me) and my kid could not care less about looks so long as she can make a sandy mess haha. I think this holds 4x50 lb bags of sand (200 lbs total). My husband didn’t listen to me and put in 5 bags. It’s quite full but holding fine. There’s just less room for toys to remain in the box with that much sand. The lid is domed which helps with both room for toys and rain run-off, presumably.

This sandbox is great and sturdy. It can probably fit 2 toddlers in it comfortably or 4 kids sitting on the ground and playing in it from the side. The lid has stayed now thru some really strong windy days. The downside and this is just how it is but there are no holes for the screws just indentions. So be prepared to use some forearm/hand/wrist strength. It took us four bags of play sand. The tools that came with are good quality too. I would recommend it

Pretty sturdy sandbox. My kids enjoy it and can sit in it at the same time(age 3 and 6) There's no holes for the screws to go into so you have to put some force into it at first. Once the screw pierces the plastic, it is easy to screw it in. While it is covered fully, some moisture still seeps in so our sand has turned a little clumpy but nothing drying it out won't fix. All in all we Re happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

I bought this sandbox for my two nephews, age 2 and 6 to use. I needed a lidded sandbox and something large enough for two kids to play in. This sandbox fit the bill perfectly! Assembly is a bit difficult - I would recommend assembling with another person on as level a surface as you can find. I didn't expect to have to drive the screws through the plastic instead of screw holes but the end result was fine. Make sure you get the screws good and tight and check that the four sides are even on the bottom before you attach the base. This will really help reduce any moisture leakage; we haven't had a problem. Despite having several wind advisory days, we haven't had any issues with the lid blowing off. The sandbox is under a tree for shade so we have found leaves in the box but that's an easy fix and there have been no issues with animals getting into the sandbox beyond the occasional confused ant. There is room for two kids in the box although it might be tight. The 6 year old prefers to sit on the grass outside. The toys that came with the sandbox were all fine - they were pretty general sand toys geared towards small kids and they've had fun playing with them. This has been a great purchase that the kids have enjoyed!
