It says made in the US! (not USA) Give me Chinese any day! It appears to be a stamped metal plate, with minimal deburring. The teeth are sharp, with burrs all over that would quickly wear out a chain. The sprocket is too wide for the chain, but I will not return it, but mill down the width of the teeth to hopefully accommodate the chain. I have a lot of money tied up in my grand kids' electric riding locomotive, and the sprocket is a key part, that seems very hard to find. It cost $13 more than the high quality previous one I returned that also did not fit. My existing motor sprocket and specified #41 chain fit together just fine. It looks like I'm out $33 if my milling does not work.
