I used this belt on my JD LX280 lawn mower with the 48C Edge mower deck. I have used Stens belts in the past with good results. However, this belt came apart after only 15 minutes of use. In the future, I will pay a little more and use the trusted OEM belts.

As others mentioned this belt was a perfect replacement for my Deere GT235 primary drive belt. This is a cogged V-belt vs a solid V-belt (OEM). I wasn’t familiar with cogged belts but a little research via Google indicates they have many benefits over solid rubber including durability, shock loading and vibration dampening.

After a decade-ish the primary drive belt of my John Deere GT235 lawn tractor broke. Note that this is the shorter belt that transfers power from the engine to the mower deck, it is NOT the longer, serpentine belt that turns the blades in the mower deck.I was in a rush so I got a replacement belt that would arrive overnight. It fit, I started mowing, and within 15 minutes the melted, smoldering, torn belt was spit out of the mower. It was a cheap, no-name belt and I only selected it because it would arrive before 8am the next day and (supposedly) allow me to finish mowing.I did more research and found nothing but positive reviews for this Stens belt. It took a couple of days to arrive, but was well worth the wait.I popped it on (perfect fit), fired it up, and did 2+ hours of heavy mowing in the 100+F Texas heat with zero issues.Deere no longer makes this belt because the mowers are 20+ years old, but if you need a replacement this is THE ONE, in my opinion.Highly recommended.

Typically I would not go aftermarket on something as important as a drive belt. However, I have an issue with my tractor deck, that is causing it to eat through belts about every 2-3 hours of use. While they order the parts to get it corrected, I have no choice but to mow with the known issue. I have gone through 4 belts in about 2 weeks. These seen to work well, though side-by-side with an OE belt, you do notice a difference.

Exactly the same as the John Deere belt except 1/2" shorter which was not a problem due the leeway in the tensioner. Most other options are not cogged on both sides of the belt but this one is and appeared to be of high quality and works perfectly for a lot less the OEM part. No need to spend the extra money whatsoever.

Belt arrived in a timely manner. Fit and function is good. Price is a bargain. The belt I am replacing broke because of a bad mower primary drive pulley. I'm pretty sure if I had not pulled the deck off and checked the pulley this new belt would have failed quickly. The pulley wasn't frozen, but grinding when turned. Belt would have worked for awhile until everything heated up.
