These used to really be a thing. Everyone I knew had one back in the day. Now, I rarely see them or hear that anyone I know uses one, and it doesn’t make sense to me. I think it’s a great idea! Why not do one quick little thing, like putting on this steering wheel lock, just to make it a little harder for someone to steal your car! I imagine that someone going around looking for a car to steal would skip over any that have steering wheel locks and go for the easy pickings. So I’m really glad I got this! It gives me peace of mind that I’m doing my part to protect my car, because certainly nobody would be able to drive my car with this lock on the wheel!This particular steering wheel lock is very nice quality. The solid steel is thick and heavy and extremely sturdy! The hooks are wide enough to easily fit over my steering wheel and I adhered the provided foam pads on the inside of the hooks to protect it. I had no problem at all getting the steel bar to fit over my air bag. The ratcheting lock system works great and there’s no way anyone could bend it or pull it off or cut it off. Only the keys will open it, and the keys work smoothly and flawlessly. I appreciate that 3 keys are provided so I always have backups just in case. As an extra bonus, I noticed that the end of the bar has a glass breaker for emergencies. I highly recommend this steering wheel lock!

I'll be honest, this doesn't feel like it's the highest quality but it does feel strong enough for the task. It's on the shorter side for these types of locks but still long enough to make stealing and driving the car a hassle. It's easy to use and includes 3 keys. I have a Kia Soul so it's almost a requirement when I travel to hot zones.

I received the KalraMay Steering wheel lock to add some security to my car.I do not have a garage where I live and auto theft has increased in the area. Since Covid, I have had the ability to work from home. I sold my car because it wasn't holding a charge even after changing the battery and alternator. I decided I didn't want the added cost and the constant worry that something might happen to it. This will most certainly help.Some of the advantages I found are:- It is big and offers a visual deterrent for thieves. Although I can't say someone won't try to remove it, in general, a thief is most likely not going to tinker with it when there might be other cars without protection.- It is durable and made of high-quality materials.- It is very easy to pop into place and remove when I am ready to drive.Some disadvantages are:- It takes a few times to figure out how to secure it on your steering wheel, but once you do it does its job well.- I really haven’t found any other disadvantages. It is very heavy duty and there are other products that you can get to add further protection for your vehicle. The steering wheel lock is only one thing. There are locks that connect to your seat belt, wheel locks, etc.Overall, I am very satisfied with the KalraMay Steering Wheel Lock. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is worth the investment and the peace of mind it provides. Things can happen anywhere at any time but it is great to know that I have this on my steering wheel and that it will help deter theft.
