We used every bit of the steel wool in the kit to fill a huge cut out around a vertical pipe in the back of one kitchen cabinet. I'm so pleased to say that we can finally use that cabinet again. I doubt I'll ever want to store food in there (too many bad memories!) but I no longer have to be grossed out when reaching in there for an appliance or bowl or whatever. It's clean - no droppings!

We have some outside cabinets and sheds, with very small cracks and holes, but large enough for rodents to enter. This product works great to keep rodents out of areas where they are unwanted.

Definitely keeps mice out the house!! I live in a wooded area and it’s not far fetched to have mice in your home. I saw one and was in it. This wool fits in any size crack or crevice. The maintenance men said I did a great job!! Never seen a mouse again. The steel wool will cut you if you don’t wear gloves, so make sure you protect your hands and put gloves on. (They provide a pair for you)It’s a great value and is very easy to use. Works well and will last long. If for some reason the crack(s) need more steel stuffed, it’s fine because it comes with two long rolls.I highly recommend this steel wool. Give me a thumbs up if I helped you make a decision to purchase.

I'm a big guy used to using my hands. I've pulled apart plenty of steel wool, never pull the stuff apart with your bare hands. Very strong stuff. Use the scissors don't be an idiot. This stuff should have no problem keeping critters out.

This is exactly what I was looking for. We had some mice chew through some foam insulation and get into our basement. I put up a layer of this and a layer of foam board insulation to keep it in place and no more mice. Also put some outside under the lower edge of our vinyl siding along our bay windows. I'll need to check in the fall to see if it has rusted and replace that if necessary. The scissors worked fine to cut the steel wool. I didn't try the gloves because I had a pair of nitrile gloves that I had been using with some other steel wool, so I just continued to use those.
