I'm not an expert. My use is custom. I only recommend this from my single experience with it.My parents just had a pine tree die, and it was tall. I did not want to pay for removal, it was behind an above ground pool next to a fence and pool deck.I drilled holes and sunk eyebolts ASIN : B0D2BDT9TR into the pine tree.I installed this flipline kit between these eyebolts. Worked great. Clipped the top right onto the eyebolt. Secured the bottom one with a lag polt and washer.I tied my safety harness with ASIN : B0D6W7NDXD utilizing the carabiner that came with the flipline. Great safety carabiner with a twist to unlock and standard squeeze to open. Attached to ascender (although the coating has chipped around the hole) nicely. Can ascend without touching it, can only descend (or it'll technically catch you if you fall).I sat in my harness/seat to take breaks and stretch and use my tools with two hands. Very secure. Don't think I would have trusted this without good old US Army training. Felt just like professional military equipment (that I never assembled myself, mind you, only set up for me in training environments) I used to use.I was so secure, I'm very happy with this.

The connection points and the sliding grasp are all sturdy and give me high confident using this to support me when climbing large trees to do trimming.

This is my first experience using a steel core flip line and I'm sold! So much easier and faster to deal with when you're up in a tree. Comes with a robust clip on one end and an ascender as well. A little pricier than using a standard rope flip line, but it's worth it! No clue about durability over time but so far I'm impressed and encouraged by the quality. Recommended for tree pros !

It ain't cheap, but good/great safety gear is not cheap - I don't think it should be either. GOOD gear has a price-point level consistent with the tradesmen level(s) of ability, skills and experience; this is certainly the real-deal big boy stuff - real good piece of kit!

This Flipline is a great quality Flipline for the cost. I've got the 12' version of this one and it is great too. The 10' works well for smaller trees so you don't have such a long tail. These are great for guys that are starting out.

Really solid double action snap hook and a good quality locking carabiner. Looks like it will hold up well. I'm very happy for the price

Wow.... this is well made! I was really impressed with the build quality out of the box. Really solid double action snap hook and a good quality locking carabiner gives you the connections to your harness and you are on your way. The question will be how long it holds up, but first impressions and usage gives a really favorable impression.
