Best scissors I've purchased. Very durable and perfect size for cutting cardboard, cloth, and anything that's thick. The sheath is extremely sturdy. I covered my mine in Velcro to attach it to a pack.

These carpet scissors are a great tool for any carpet installation or trimming task! The blades are sharp, allowing for clean, precise cuts through even thick carpet fibers. The handles are comfortable to hold, and the ergonomic design makes it easy to maneuver and cut with control.The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the scissors can be a bit stiff at first, but after using them a few times, they loosened up and became much smoother to operate. It's not a major issue, but worth noting.Overall, these carpet scissors are a must-have for anyone working with carpets. They’re sturdy, reliable, and do the job well. I highly recommend them!

Nicely weighted, the functionality of the angle present in the blade becomes immediately evident upon usage, I can tell the angle makes it so much easier to work with. Spend the extra bit to get these over the smaller ones. Decent size and grip, works well with gloves too. For a hefty job, you may want something like mechanix gloves, other wise you’ll need to take breaks more often unless you’ve got burly hands. Initial reaction was they were very easy to use, effective at cutting, and comfortable to hold. Easily shreds through thick material, wouldn’t be surprised if it could open or cut through thin metals as well. I don’t remember what packaging they came in, but I recommend scissors to cut open the package they came in, in case it’s hard to open. In terms of the ease of opening up the carpet floor, I imagine it’s great. I used it to cut up an old rug of mine because I didn’t want to pay to throw it away. These cost less than the fee to toss it, lol. And I couldn’t give it away either, even though it would have been nice if I could have.

These scissors work so well that they can cut a single polypropylene thread from a summer shirt. The grooves on the blade grab onto the material you are cutting, preventing it from slipping away from the cutting edge. And that cutting edge is incredibly sharp. The scissors are very sturdy, so they don't bend when you're using them. I wish they made scissors with longer blades say 10 in. I'd immediately buy them.
