despite having this for over 4 years, we decided to completely stop using this product. item is practically brand new as every time we use this device it is always out of spec. I'm not talking about a .001", more like .010-.020". we have now reverted to using a custom device we manufactured using a ball gage. scrapped thousands of dollars worth of parts using this crap. Starrett if you would like to assist feel free to contact us, we still have the device. we have lost complete trust in Starrett products from failed digital indicators to these style of chamfer gages.

This product is exactly what I needed for my job, works like it's suppose to.However my quality dept. Says it's off by 2 thou! I only have a 5 tho leeway in my counter sinking.Other than that I'm VERY PLEASED! I use it just about every day
