Needed to calibrate my starrett micrometer. Nice rounded ends with insulated pick point. A must have for any machinist or someone using a good micrometer. Starrett quality you can count on

Idk what the other guy was complaining about, but this is the micrometer standard that starret uses and sends out. If you know how to use one, you'll get the perfect 2 inch size and can calibrate your tools correctly. Typical starrett quality

This being a gauge standard it is not very precise. Depending on where you measure on the sphere will give you different measurements. When I ordered a 2" standard I wasn't expecting a 2.0001 to 1.997 standard. I'm going to order Mitutoyo flat gauge standards in the future.
