Update: Tried to use this mister for only the 2nd time, and the plastic at the connection point midway up the center post completely cracked, leaking and spraying a ton of water out of it. (See picture, near the bottom of the black portion.) Thankfully, I’m still in the return window, and requested a refund for a defective product. Hesitant to get a replacement because I worry it would just happen again.I bought one of these for a family celebration on an 87 degree day. People thought it was silly at first, but everyone gravitated to it to cool off and all agreed it was a great addition to the party. I wish I had gotten two of them! It looked complicated when I first opened the box with all the parts, but the setup was actually very easy. There were several extra nozzle parts, I think just different types (and a splitter) in case they are needed, which was a nice inclusion. As others stated, there was some leaking from the hose connection at first, but the tape included and just tightening the connection more stopped it. The mist produced by the four nozzles was a fine mist that blew in the wind perfect to help everyone feel a bit cooler even at some distance from it. The stand held up well on the grass with a mild breeze, but I think it would stand fine on pavement and with a slightly stronger breeze too.

So these had promise until the fell over. The first one fell over and the connection point between the tripod and the fitting broke. I wrote it off as "sometimes things break". The second on fell over the next day and broke at the same spot...this happened right in front of my eyes. It was in grass and landed very softly but broke at the same spot! This is not a coincidence...this is a cheap product. I would avoid this product...the tripod is shaky to begin with and they are destined to fall over...and for me I had 2 fall over and each broke the first time they did. One more thing...they were less than a week old. UPDATE 7/8/24 So the seller did reach out and offered me a full refund...did not have to return the broken products...customer service was great. A new model will be released soon that addresses this issue...they are sending me one to test...I'll let you know. Thanks.

Just received this and set it up for test run for an about an hour, so no extended use yet. It's kind of fun, although it looks like you'd eventually get pretty wet if you sat in the mist area for more than 10 minutes.A couple things to be aware of:1. It comes with some hose-end gaskets that have screens in them. I had to use these in both ends of the 1/4" hose that comes with the mister in order to stop the leaking. So, one at the hose/spigot connection and one at the female end that threads into the bottom of the tube that feeds the mister spray nozzles. There were two extra.2. One of the mister heads had a slight leak where the water was jetting out in a fine strand. The spare parts bag had 3 extra spray nozzles "just in case". These are a push-in-to-release quick connect - I swapped out the one nozzle with a spare and it was fixed.3. Yes, you have to use teflon tape on all threads. Including unscrewing the adapter at the bottom of the tube that leads to the mister tubes / nozzles and wrapping the exposed threads. It's a bit easier if you wet the tape first as it sticks better for a tighter fit4. The tripod legs spread out but do not lock: it's not going to stand up to kids bumping it. The feet have spikes that could possibly be pushed into soft ground, but I didn't try. They're plastic, so force with caution. I'd say it also needs to be on fairly level ground.5. Mist is fine and drifts easily, but generally is immediately felt in about a 3 - 4 foot radius from the center. A light breeze will carry it several extra feet downwind. This is not a sprinkler and won't mist you're whole backyard.6. There is a friction lock so you can raise and lower the height of the mist nozzles - which also can be bent to adjust direction and altitude - but really it tops out at around 4 feet from the ground unless you put in on a table or such.Otherwise, it works pretty well for the ~35$ I paid for it. Going to be hot this weekend, so that will be the true field test.

Update: Customer Service was excellent and sent me a replacement mister. Works perfect. Very happy.Bought two of these misters. First one was perfect. Second one leaked significantly at the stand connector. Re-connected, checked tubing, re-inserted tubing, with no change. One of the misters leaked significantly. Changed the mister and no change. Basically I paid for two and got one. Really not happy with this horrible product quality. However, the one that worked is really nice. But a 50% product quality is not acceptable.
