i could not believe this, i thought my wires were bad ? which 2 were (one leaking ) and i drove with scanning/ data streaming and still had multiple misfires so changed rotor still same problem the dang crank sensor was working ? so i did research and saw a few mechanics saying it could be cause ? so since i never changed crank sensor EVER i thought what the heck ....man not only fixed it also made my truck shift into overdrive better so nw i probably get better mileage with this fix by the way i have 96 yukon 5.7 yukon ,vortec in case this helps some one

No spacers were needed, but there were a pack of them included. So my truck had begun just shutting-off going down the highway about the same time my engine temp would reach normal operating temperature. Trying to re-crank the engine it would just stutter to a halt again.... until about 15 minutes had passed and then it would start and run again long enough to get it back home (the sensor cooled down, at a guess, and would work again)! A fault code in the ECU indicated a problem with the Crankshaft Position Sensor, so I ordered this one and installed it and truck has run just fine for past several weeks with no further engine issues. These are easy to replace only takes a few minutes, I had never had one fail before so I was a bit surprised it could just shut my engine down like that!

What a difference...Didnt know these sensors generate their own magnetism and do wear out before 100,000 miles....These will still work without giving an ECM until they completely fail...I can estimate at least 10% increase in horsepower and starting easier...

I recommend watching YouTube and a diagram for those less mechanically inclined. Otherwise rather easy install, the part fit and worked correctly. Seemed solid quality and I wouldn't mind using this brand again.

Super easy to install, but be sure to start the retaining screw carefully so as not to cross thread it. You MUST do the crankshaft relearn procedure, which literally takes about 5-6 minutes, but requires a GM Tech 2 type of scanner. My friend has one. Until we did the relearn, my truck kept throwing a P0300, Random Misfire code.

It fixed my problem, and the truck runs now, supper easy to install. Made in USA was a pleasant surprise.
