Purchased this as the correct replacement for my factory oem thermostatic choke.Looked good out of the box, however when I attempted to install it, I found that the plate thatb the actual thermoststat is rivited too is to large and the wrong shape to fit into the space on the factory intake manifold.I also found after taking a grinder and cutting part of the extra metal so it fir in the space, that the thermostat is rivited to the several milimeters to low and the bottom of the thermostat hits the molded area in the intake manifold not letting it go into place .It's just another chinese part that is purposely manufactuerd out of required specifications to flood the united states with un-useable, short lived parts, with built in obsolescence. It has become quite common in the last 5 years and no government entity seems to be regulating the quality of goods being brought into the USA as many politicians are heavely invested in import export companies.Don't want to hurt their profits for the good of our country I suppose. If we live in a disposible society long enough, I guess disposing of the earth will be their next step

I purchased this part for a 1987 Dodge Ramcharger w/ 5.2L 318 V8 Motor, factory 2 barrel carburetor. Simply put, this part will not fit, and is not a direct replacement for the factory Carburetor Choke Thermostat. I don't believe modification will allow it to fit either without doing significant damage coil spring housing. The replacement part (shown in the right of the picture) has a different design for coil spring housing when compared to the OEM part (shown on the left).I didn't want to give this 1 star, as the part probably works, but double check the design of your current choke thermostat before purchasing this part.

To have your choke work correctly you need to remember this is a "universal" style part not exact fit or NOS, plan your installation accordingly and adjust to spec

So it said it fit my truck, a 1982 dodge w150, but the arm wasn't right. We bent it to fit, but it will still occasionally pop off.
