I've always payed the higher price for high quality Standard Motor Products parts, but no more. The stationary and moving points are super misaligned in every direction.(first 2 pics.) After bending and twisting the faces into parallel, only about 2/3 of the faces make contact.(third pic.) In addition to this, the SMP distributor cap had to be carved on to make it alien with the distributor and SMP rotor had to be shimed because it was so loss on the shaft it had about 5 degrees of slope. I would have returned the whole lot, but I had to get my 48 ford 8n usable. The low quality tune up parts are better than this for a third of the price of these. Super disappointed in SMP.

Blue Streak points are the gold standard for ignition points. I only use this brand in both of my 1948 Ford 8Ns. One is an original 6 volt system and the other is a 12 volt. Both tractors run great with these points. Gap them to .015 for front mount distributors. They can be filed multiple times.
