When I received the part seemed like a fairly well made product but it came apart when I installed it. No bolts no screws just slides on a bracket simple right. But as I slid it on the top came right off. Maybe it was just a faulty part don't know

Amazon claims this unit fits a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi, but it does not. Oddly, Amazon claims thatDorman 911-202 does not fit my Dodge, but that is actually the correct replacement part.

This item arrived on time and was a perfect match to my old one. This item took approximately 3 minutes to install. Works great!!!

Upon removing the old one, I saw it had charcoal stuck in it. I shook it all out. Then I saw one of the hoses was totally packed with charcoal, blocking the flow. I took it off, easily, and shook it all out. Turns out, that was the problem the whole time. That's why when some people get these, they only work a week or two, because it's an underlying issue.

Installed this on my '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lmtd to replace the stock factory unit that lasted the better part of 475,000 miles. My original unit would work again temporarily if I tapped on it a bit, and sprayed various lubricants into the ports and let it soak overnight. My temporary fixes weren't lasting and I was tired of seeing the occasional CEL for the emissions system. (I forget the code now.) Unit took less than 1 min to replace and has been working as it should ever since.

Truck running good now, no more stutter & hesitation, check engine light is off & no error codes. The Haynes '87-'96 Dakota Repair Manual would have you believe, and crawling around and looking for an EGR valve for error code 32. But thee is no EGR valve on the '96's. It has an evaporator system that works similar to the EGR valve system and is controlled by this part, if its going out truck gets all wonky and anyway, it worked. I'm gonna buy another and put it in cold storage as I'm about to drop a new factory block modded out in mine that should last another 130,000 miles so ill probably need another in about ten to fifteen years. The '96 Dakota was built to last. Throw a new paint job on it, new exhaust, scrape the rust and expand on my sound system and I'm gonna have a mean little truck for less than $8,000.00, all labor done myself of course, minus a few things that might need machining. I LOVE my Dakota. Later.
