This was exactly what I needed for my 04 TJ rubicon. I was having some transmission shifting issues and this actually helped quite a bit. It’s not perfect but it’s shifting much better in and out of 4th gear on my 42RLE. So if you’re having transmission issues, spend the $15 and 5 minutes to swap it out.

Check to make sure the temperature bulb in the end isn't flopping around. I had a new one bad.

Replaced part October 10th is now December 18th and I am getting the same code due to the part already being faulty

I found that my only issue was the MAP sensor. But i installed this part as well and no negative effects! I will report back if it fails on me.

My 99 Durango 5.9 Judas beast never throws any check engine codes always says everything is normal but I've had a few intermittent install problems and considering the trucks approaching 200,000 miles I just bought it not that long ago I'm throwing a bunch of parts at it as a retired mechanic that I know wear out I'm not going to wait for him to fail because they're inexpensive this seem to do the job I got more parts to throw at it I would say I got my value for the money you can tell by the pictures my old one was a little funky looking so I don't know how long it was in there so it got replaced.Also note if you change this and you want to dodge a Jeep or any Chrysler product there's another air temperature sender that's located in the radiator support or behind the bumper and was relatively cheap too it works in combination with this one and I would change it also cuz I started there and that made a difference.

So far so good, direct fit for my 98 2.5l dakota. Installed and cleared code, code hasn't come back .

Cleared up my lagging acceleration. Only reason 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to adapt it to fit my Jeep YJ Wrangler.
