Not sure if it was the new TPS or the new IAC valve, or both. But now the truck has risen from the ashes.Highly recommend replacing both at the same time, especially if this is an old truck. Plug connector was off by 180 degrees in my opinion. Tried to unscrew it and rotate it but the screws were impossible to unscrew. Maybe some engine heat will loosen them up eventually. Or maybe I needed a bigger screwdriver.

My 1993 F150 is having a hard time starting. It stalls at times, and after checking the fuel pressure and seeing that both tanks are in the acceptable range, I looked at other possibilities. The fuel pressure may be a contributor because even though the readings are within the limits, one conidtion is at the lower end of the range. However, this stalling is with both tanks, and if the pressure on only one tank is low the problem should only be on that tank.The other two items I'm looking at are the Idle Air Control (IAC) and fuel injectors. The IAC valve was the cheaper of the two options, so I started there. This part is easy to install and came with a gasket. It didn't fix the problem, so my old one was still OK. Oh well. Time to move onto the fuel injectors, but that won't happen for a while.
