When installing make certain the plunger is pushed Al the way in so it will start in the cold start mode. Easy install! Perfect fit and functions as it should.

I replaced this part on my 2003 Jeep TJ in about 10 minutes and it fixed my throttle lag off a dead stop. It also cost about half of what they wanted at the auto parts store.

got rid of my lingering high idle when the clutch was engaged. The only issue is the brand on the box/labels, were not "standard" or anywhere mentioned AC176. I was skeptical, but it works well and the fitment appears to be spot on. satisfied with purchase

Excellent product, at a fantastic price. Auto parts stores wanted 3 times the amount i paid for it on Amazon. My Jeeps idle would drop down to 500 RPM while i was at stop, for lights, stop signs etc. So i did some research and found out i needed to change the Idle Air Control Sensor. It was easy to install and only took about 20 min. to do so. The old one was the original, and had 157,000 miles on it. And the old one was worn and pitted. Now my Jeep runs great without any idling problems. Thanks for a great product at a fantastic price.

My 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ was sometimes dying at idle and also would not fire when started for the first time after sitting. It would crank over until I smelled fuel. When I cranked the engine and pushed the gas pedal it would start. My old IAC was the culprit and this fixed it. The jeep should fire up and rev to 1500 rpm or so and then settle down to idle at 750ish after a minute or two. The IAC works by bypassing the throttle letting air into the engine intake when starting up because you are not pressing the gas pedal that's why I had to press in the pedal to start my jeep but now everything is working great. I recommend removing the throttle body to replace and cleaning it while your there. You will need a torx bit to remove the actual IAC from the TB.
