On a VX-6R this is not capable if displaying barometric pressure corrected for sea level. Such as what your local weather report would say. It only displays ambient or "absolute pressure", which at my elevation in Utah is right around 25.31( 858 millibar) inches of mercury. A weather report or local airport (altimeter setting) will give you corrected for sea level reading, such as 30.20 inches of mercury. This module in the Yaesu VX-6r will not show that. Ambient pressure is not useful at all. And if I set it to my local elevation of 4700 feet above sea level, I'll come back later and it will show 50 or 60 feet above or below what it was an hour ago. Should not do that. This unit is a waste of money.

Put this in my VX-7R as I have one in my 6R and it works great letting me know the barometric pressure.
