I like it burns slow and the fire wood needs to be dry. Place umderneath it.

This fire starter definitely helped us and made our task easy to light coal for bbq. Would buy again soon.

Lights right up and keeps a steady burn till you get your kindling or charcoal lit. Use it on lump charcoal and had no problems.

It works nicely, my only gripe is that they don’t break apart evenly.

Used it last weekend on damp wood while camping. Built up the logs, put this under, lit it and walked away. 5 minutes later I turned around and we had a roaring fire!! I will never camp without this again

I've always been a fan of these fibre type fire starters because they are lightweight and super easy to use. There certainly is no shortage of brands that make these and I like to try a few different ones to test out.I decided to give these a shot because they came up on a sale one day. There really isn't anything spectacular over any of the other ones like this but that's completely irrelevant. The product itself does exactly what it's intended to do and does it well.I tested these in a very simple fashion by simply lighting one up and timing how long it burns. It lasted just over 8 minutes of flame. After that it just fizzled out to a puff of smoke. The most intense burn was around the 3 to 4 minute mark. After that, the flame starts to slowly level down. That's more than enough for your average fire. If you find yourself in a situation where the wood is a bit wet, then I would use a few more just to be safe. Otherwise, you should be able to get your average fire up and burning in no time with these. The product itself is made like most of the others. The only issue I noticed is that their cuts are very uneven. You can see in the image that there are some smaller and larger blocks. For me, this is not an issue as I use a mix of both sizes in my little bug out packs.I like to buy some cheap dollar store matches and these fire starters to make some waterproof packs. I just use my vacuum sealer to make small bags and these work great. Like most of these fire starters, this brand does the trick well. If you can get them on sale then it's even better. I highly recommend them.Pros:Super easy to lightwater resistantlast over 8 minutes of burn time on a single cubeno smellCons:uneven cut sizescuts not quite deep enough on the separation lines.

I place two squares under my Charcoal chimney. It burns for at least 3 minutes to generate enough heat to start the charcoals. No mess and no fuss.It also does not add any chemical flavor to the charcoal.
