We got this to use with our hydrometer and it has been a lifesaver this maple syrup season! This cup is well made and sturdy, very easy to use. The brush also works and the cup is easy to clean. Overall, very happy with this product and will likely be using for a long time to come.

The cylinder itself is sturdy and feels well made, but there is rust in it at the weld point at the bottom. Could have used more quality control on this one. The brush does a good job cleaning the rest of the tube, but the rust remains int eh creases at the bottom. I guess if using this, you'd need to dump out whatever liquid (syrup) is measured for safety/sanitation purposes, but that seems wasteful overall.

There's not a lot to be said that wasn't covered in the headline. It's made of non-magnetic stainless for long term durability. It has good wall thickness, and good welds. The base is wide enough to make it stable and hydrometers fit nicely. Since it's metal you don't have to worry about heat or breakage. Short of losing it or driving over it with a truck I don't expect to have buy another one in my lifetime. If I do, I'll buy it here.
