This basin is smaller than I expected, but that is on me as I didn't read the description well. It is 18-8 magnetic stainless steel. It was too small for what I wanted to use it for, so my husband got creative. The picture is of a giant chocolate peanut butter cup my husband made for me. It worked well and cleaned easily in the dishwasher. Definitely not what it is made for but fun nonetheless.

Decent thickness and does appear to be stainless steel. No dents. No rust in the autoclave. Size as described. As any real health care professional knows, emesis basins are not great for emesis but they are great for a lot of other uses.
