I wanted this to use in securing some patio furniture for the winter. I believe it will do the job.I live in an area where winter winds can shift/move even heavy patio furniture. This chain will help reduce the movement of the pieces during the windy days. The clips appears like they will do a good job securing the ends of the chain together.The concern I do have for this chain is whether or not it will rust being outside all winter. I will have the answer in the spring. If it resists rusting, I can update the review to 5 stars but for now - 4 stars
