I bought these for deer hunting season. Takes great pictures! Have left running for 2 months now and haven't needed to change the batteries yet!I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars because when setting up, they don't make it 100% clear that you do not need to buy a subscription for photos. If you skip that step you do get 100 photos a month without needed to spend any more money.

Wife bought these for me for the 2024 hunting season. The picture is a good quality and the cameras hold up well even in cold weather (freezing). Friends tell me the picture quality is better than some of the bigger name brand cameras and those are almost double the price. The only negative comment i have is if you put it on 1-3 min timer settings you will burn up 8 batteries quickly. Amazon does have a rechargeable lithium option that lasts a lot longer and saves you cost in the long run (the more square battery pack, not the long slim one).

i like that on this camera it gives me the option for optimal trigger speed gets more accurate pictures compared to my flex m spypoint cam that gets triggered but takes pictures to fast and doesn’t get the best photos the lm2 gets perfect pictures every time

I have an old SpyPoint camera from a few years ago that I have used on and off that worked well, so I was pretty confident buying this pair of LM2 cameras to add to my collection. I just bought some acreage that includes a few acres of woodland, so I put these cameras around the property to see what is walking around.Using the SpyPoint app on my Android phone, I had the camera registered and taking pictures in just a couple of minutes.I am just using the free plan, so not getting HD pictures, but I don't feel like I really need them. I am able to tell what is in the pictures just fine. The night shots get a little washed out in the center of the frame, but it might help having less clutter in the background to reflect the IR light. Response time is pretty good for notifications. I have it set to notify immediately for new pictures, and the alert gets to my phone within a minute or so.Overall, I think these cameras are great. I may end up buying a couple more to use as remote security cameras. If you need more pictures per month than the free plan provides though, I think it can add up pretty quickly. One of the spots I picked is pretty active with animals, so I am about half way through my free allocation for the month after only a week. If you put one of these on a feeder or water tank, you could very well burn through a couple hundred pictures per month and need to pay for a higher usage plan.

First of all if they are pointed at the ground the sense the sun moving and start taking pictures of it, The directions tell you to mount the camera 3-4’ above the ground straight out, that is why. The camera can’t tell when it is moving. So if the tree is swaying it takes lots of pictures. Hopefully future versions will compensate for this. When the batteries get down to 25% life they will shut off at any moment, but the app never tells you this. On the app it reports the batteries still have life, sometimes a lot of life, it can vary. This gives the impression that the cameras are still communicating when in fact they are not. The app never tells you they are dead. There is no option for a picture request to make sure they are on, still mounted, etc. These are my first cellular trail cameras, I’ll be trying some other brand in the future.
