The tarantula's carbide-tipped fangs give you effortless hole cutting without the bite. They chew cleanly through stainless steel, steel, cast iron, nail-embedded wood, plastics, non-ferrous metals, and cement. In addition, they are 10 times faster than standard hole saws, and last up to 50 times longer cuts than bi-metal hole saws.

Great hole saws… but terrible adaptor pieces. Both broke on first day of use. I have three sets of these, and the quick adaptor fails consistently.

All around bad quality. To start the kit doesn't come with an adapter nor does spider even make an adapter to fit them (Atleast that I could find) to any drill to begin with, if you are lucky enough to find one yourself the saws are so dull they rip the surface around the hole apart (wood atleast) and finally it cuts ungodly slow. Only good thing about it was the arbor.

The hole saws were used to drill through 1/4" CRS tube dor electrical runs. Each bit would run 8-10 holes, arbor and drill were deep enough to cut straight through the 2x4 rectangle steel then through 1-1/2" stucco and the 3/4" plywood. Definitely use good cutting fluid and a good drill. Folks complaining of poor bit life are likely using a cheap 1/2" drillbwith limited torque at the tip speed needed. I did notice with cheap 1/2" drills the speed control and lack of torque did burn up one bit before the first hole was cut. The 3/4" drills and nice right angle drills work well at 150 RPM or less
