Welcome to Spy Labs Incorporated, the one-stop shop for spies on the top! With this well-equipped toolkit, you can learn how detectives use forensic science to answer questions, gather evidence, and solve crimes. Experiment with the equipment and techniques used by real detectives to develop your own observation and problem-solving skills. First, you will set up your detective’s office and organize your tools. Then, you will do some exercises to hone your observation skills. Next, you will learn about securing a crime scene, and gathering and documenting evidence, including fingerprints, footprints, and tire tracks. After you have gathered evidence, such as hair and fibers, counterfeit currency, and soil samples, you will head back to the lab to learn how to analyze it. Finally, you can try your hand at deciphering codes, writing messages with invisible ink, and communicating with secret symbols. As your skills develop, you can use them to solve the practice cases.

My child loved this. There are so many different cool spy/detective features, ID card, crime scene report, test tubes, etc. We did a few of the cases, but although he lost interest in the cases, he keeps playing with the kit and different parts. He posts crime scene reports around the house, which is quite funny. Even if he is not using the kit in its entirety, this has inspire lots of interest in investigation and play. The kit and contents are of good quality and design. Great gift for a young inquisitive mind.

Externally, this looks good. The carry case is sturdy and the description bodes well. However, this is a Christmas present for my grandson, so I haven't opened it up to check that the contents live up to the blurb. Hence i'm not ready to give it a 5-star review.

This is one of the better detective kits out there. I did not appreciate the fingerprint powder all over the house, but otherwise it worked like a charm.

You get soooo much in this kit! My son was loving all the different things in it. He had a hard time paying attention to everything but thats more him than anything else. It is both educational and fun and goofy and would keep your kids engaged.

I’m a forensic scientist by profession and in my eyes it was a crappy kit. Especially the fingerprint powder- regular cheap black fingerprint powder was better than the random powder they chose. Which didn’t work AT ALL. I’d not buy this again, I’d make up my own kit of things that worked. Even the fingerprint lifting tape included was crap! Scotch tape worked way better.

Probably the best detective set in the market but be aware you will have to be with the children at all times and you should read everything yourself and be ready to loads of questions

Awesome kit. I used it to write several “detective” labs for my granddaughter. She loves solving problems and used the tools in this kit to solve them. Beware, you will need to be at the top of your game in writing these detective cases because they will want more.

My 6 year old daughter loves this....we create our own "mysteries" to solve. There is a small blacklight flashlight she is fascinated with. Good educational toy as well- can talk about how to measure things, the need to pay attention to details, and how to ask good questions :) There are messy components of this toy we have not used yet.

Great little detective kit. It comes with crime scene tape, powders and basic detective items for your little one to explore. Teaches kids how to solve problems. It comes in a hard plastic case for storage which is great because I have had other science kits come in bags. My 10 year old daughter really likes this kit.

It was fantastic. It's got lots of strange things and it's got a book that teaches you how to do detective things and it's got mysteries in it. I love playing with it. Matteo (7)
