Sturdy, clamp evenly and very easy to swap the ends for either clamping or spreading. The thumb release is well placed and the rods are quite heavy duty. The clamping feet are on the wider side. Depending on how you plan to use them that could be a pro or a con. Possibly difficult to use on small items with narrow surface areas, but really nice for large surfaces to more evenly distribute the clamping pressure and help prevent any marring or depression in softer wood. All in all I'm very please with these. I really like the wider clamp faces and they also have crossed U depressions to allow better grip on round or uneven surfaces.
